Boys and Bikes...Dirt bikes

After about 5 years of riding their Honda 50's Jeff and Gavin had their first "real" accident. I say real because this time it involved going into shock.  Gavin unfortunately had a blind spot with his goggles and couldn't see Jeff coming up along side him at full speed and accidentally turned into Jeff. (T-bone) Jeff's Bike landed right on top of him as did the spinning rear tire that took of a few layers of skin and left major tire marsk that are almost gone now.  So, after an hour and a half (believe me this is the short version) of Jeff being in shock and thinking he had a broken wrist and possible broken ankle (we were very blessed to have some very experinced moms there) all he ended up with was a swollen ankle, some nasty bruising and icky skin missing on his leg! Lesson:  Remember to always wear your riding boots even if you hate them!!! Gavin had some major guilt that day and we did our very best to reasure him that it was NOT his fault. I think he is feeling better about it now. Poor guy. I am so thankful that it was not more serious.
Above is Jeff's leg
This is G all happy and excited to ride!
This is Jeff's leg all patched up and sitting in the front seat at the drive thru at In N Out!
